The is our primary formula and the foundation of the Protazen® system. It's a natural blend of herbs, vitamins, and very specific amino acids that are precursors to dopamine, other catecholamines, and serotonin. It's formulated to support positive moods, focus, memory, emotional balance, and overall cognitive wellbeing.*
- How It Works -
As with any organ, substances in the diet such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential fatty acids (omega 3) can affect brain chemistry and function.1 Until recently, it had not been fully accepted that nutrition had any influence on brain health. Today, some foods and supplements are being recognized for their support of emotional wellness. There is now enough documented evidence to assert that certain amino acids affect the synthesis and release of neurotransmitters (brain chemicals). However, their effects on brain function are not fully understood by the mainstream medical community. This lack of understanding often leads to prescription drugs as a first line of defense for a mood imbalance, when simply supplementing the diet with prodcuts like ours may prove sufficient.
Studies have shown that the diet does indeed influence brain function. Brains cells require specific nutrients to produce neurotransmitters (chemical messengers in the brain). Neurotransmitters, including dopamine, other catecholamines, and serotonin, help regulate our moods and emotions. When the brain is under emotional stress, it can become depleted of these key neurotransmitters.2,3,4 Therefore, it is reasonable to suggest, supplementing the diet with the Protazen® system of emotional wellness supplements can promote the natural production of key neurotransmitters. Additionally, because these particular precursors are found in many of our protein rich foods, they are consider very safe to take as dietary supplements.5

This blend is formulated to support most areas of mental wellness and balance. It contains 11 ingredients, including the amino acids L-Tyrosine and DL-Phenylalanine that support the production of key neurotransmitters – chemical messengers in the brain that help regulate mood and emotion.
100mg 5-HTP
w/Niacin & B6
Suggested Use: 1 Capsules Per Day
Contents: 30 Capsules (Vegan & Gluten Free)
Protazen’s 5-HTP is offered as an extra serotonin booster. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter known to improve mood, calm anxiety, and relieve insomnia. This product is most often taken in concert with the Protazen® Base Formula, or by itself if serotonin deficiency is your only concern.
Protazen’s 5-HTP (100mg 5-Hydroxytryptophan) also contains key Co-Factors (Niacin & Vitamin B6) for absorption and bio-availability. 5-HTP is what the body converts the tryptophan amino acid into. It is this 5-HTP that is a direct precursor to serotonin. If there isn’t enough tryptophan in your diet (a problem for many of us), your body can’t produce enough 5-HTP or serotonin to keep the brain "happy." This is why taking our 5-HTP supplement, in addition to the Protazen® Base Formula, can be extremely beneficial.
Our 5-HTP Serotonin Support Supplement is in a separate bottle, so that it may be taken at least 4 hours apart from the Base Formula. This allows for maximum absorption.

Protazen’s Melatonin Supplement is time released for a smooth steady dosage throughout the night, promoting consistent sleep. Melatonin is the hormone produced by the pineal gland, which is associated with sleep.
Though not considered critical to the function of the body, sleep is essential to the well being of the mind. Lack of sleep affects the function of the central nervous system.
There are two types of sleep: slow wave and paradoxical. Slow wave sleep is a deep, restful, dreamless sleep. Paradoxical sleep, also known as REM, is associated with an active dream state. Why is this important? Because the time between these two types of sleep affects how you feel in the morning. Paradoxical sleep occurs every 90 minutes and usually lasts 5-20 minutes. If a person is exhausted and not getting enough sleep, they will spend more time in this stage. The time between each REM stage increases when an individual is tired, and decreases when they are rested. In other words, you dream more when you’re rested.
Your ability to sleep is affected by many physiological and psychological factors. These factors can include physical activity, stress, and preoccupation with thought (racing thoughts).

Protazen’s Omega 30+ consists of top quality USP Marine Fish Oils of 2000mg per serving (2 capsules), with a combined EPA/DHA weight of 600mg per serving. Protazen’s OxyEnergy Formula promotes physical energy, stamina, and endurance. People who suffer from emotional fatigue, often find themselves suffering from physical fatigue as well.
We can’t live more than a few minutes without it, but most of us don’t give oxygen a second’s worth of thought. Oxygen is necessary for pumping the heart; strengthening the immune system; detoxifying pollutants; processing information from the brain and central nervous system; and extracting nutrients from our food. And compared to food, which supplies a mere 10% of our fuel, oxygen is responsible for an astounding 90% of our energy.
With every one of the 20,000 breaths you take today, oxygen will attach itself to hemoglobin in red blood cells and travel from your lungs via your bloodstream to reach every single one of your 73 trillion cells. The oxygen then enters each cell, where it helps turn food energy into usable energy. If a cell is deprived of oxygen for as few as four minutes, it will begin to die.
It’s obvious, then, why every breath we take is extremely important. Unfortunately, many of us aren’t making the best use of oxygen. Pollution has caused a drop in oxygen in our air in the last few centuries; processed-food diets have reduced our intake of oxygen from fruits, vegetables and water; lack of exercise has put an end to the deep inhale; and shallow-breathing when we’re stressed has left most of our cells gasping for air! It’s no wonder many of us are looking for an energy boost.
Plug into the power of oxygen by boosting your intake of antioxidant-rich fresh foods. Keep your blood circulation strong by adding some movement to your day. You’ll likely find that a little exercise will also help reduce your stress. And most importantly, remember to breathe!
